ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - MS/Stepdown Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Must have travel experience and stepdown experience required • Must have acute care surgical floor experience - OR candidates will not be accepted • ENT and/or transplant experience preferred • Care for patients pre or post-surgical services with focus on surgical experience • Provide post-operative care for patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT • Handle both medical/surgical patients and stepdown care patients • Patient ratios: 5-6:1 for surgical patients and 3-4:1 for stepdown area • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor IV infusions and blood products • Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge planning • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced surgical care.
