Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - FS /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in an inpatient overflow unit /n• Work on the 3rd floor Inpatient Overflow unit which is a mixed medical-surgical/step-down unit /n• Step-down experience preferred along with charge nurse experience /n• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments /n• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures /n• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary /n• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products /n• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning /n• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs /n• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed /n• Required: 1 year of nursing experience /n• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program /n• Required: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) /n• Required: Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association /n• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced medical services and nursing care.
