ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Observation Unit Job Details: • Provide nursing care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Two (2) years of inpatient experience required • NOT open to ER candidates • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examination of patients and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with family and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Required certifications: Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), current Basic Life Support (AHA), ACLS (American Heart Association) • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
