Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in an inpatient overflow unit • Work on the 3rd floor Inpatient Overflow unit which is a mixed medical-surgical/step-down unit • Step-down experience preferred along with charge nurse experience • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning • Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Required: 1 year of nursing experience • Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program • Required: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) • Required: Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced medical services and nursing care.
