Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neurology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Neuro PCU Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex neurological conditions • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the Progressive Care Unit • Monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians • Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge • Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients Facility: This major academic medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services and operates as a leading teaching hospital.
