Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Float pool position requiring Medical/Surgical and Step Down experience • Float between all Medical/Surgical and Step Down areas within the facility • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association • Required education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients Facility: This major academic medical center serves as the primary teaching hospital and provides comprehensive healthcare services to the community.
