Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma and cardiac ICU experience on night shifts. Responsibilities - Position is in the Trauma ICU within a hospital setting - Cares for critically ill trauma patients, including those with complex cardiac and neuro conditions - Works night shifts with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week - Level 1 trauma ICU environment with high-acuity patient population - Provide critical care nursing for trauma and complex cardiac patients - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist in minor diagnostic procedures and treatments - Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed - Responsible for comprehensive patient documentation and participation in care planning with families - Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided upon hire - Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled - Returning travelers may only work one contract extension for a total of 26 weeks before a 6-month break is required Requirements - Active OK or compact RN license required - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred - Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required - Minimum of one year of direct ICU experience at a Level 1 trauma center required - At least one year of prior travel nursing experience required - Cardiac ICU experience required, or a combination of cardiac and neuro ICU experience - TNCC and TCRN certifications preferred - Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625770.
