Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position with current OK or compact licensure and pediatric life support certifications. Responsibilities - Position located in the Float Pool department within a hospital setting - Responsible for providing care to a pediatric patient population with a range of health concerns from simple to complex - 12-hour day shifts with weekend and holiday coverage requirements - Assignment length is 13 weeks, with three 12-hour shifts per week - No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule - Responsible for caring for an assigned group of pediatric patients and administering prescribed medications and IV infusions - Expected to document patient responses, assist with examinations, and participate in minor diagnostic procedures and treatments - Acts as a liaison with families to discuss care plans and discharge instructions - Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates within an interdisciplinary team - Must adhere to dress code and hospital procedures - Extension of contract may be considered once, with a required six-month separation before reapplying for a new contract Requirements - Active OK RN license or current compact state RN license - Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association - Minimum of 1 year RN experience required - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and maintain good communication skills - Experience responding to the cultural and language needs of patients and families Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621259.
