Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a pediatrics float pool night shift position requiring an OK or compact RN license and PALS certification. Responsibilities - Work in the Float Pool covering various pediatric units within a hospital - Patient caseload includes a variety of pediatric health conditions from simple to complex - Night shifts with holiday and weekend requirements - Three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week - No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius - Provide comprehensive nursing care to an assigned group of pediatric patients - Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments - Monitor patient responses, document interventions and communicate changes as needed - Administer medications, initiate and manage IV infusions and blood products - Participate in patient and family education and care planning - Must delegate tasks appropriately to support staff - Eligible to work a maximum of 26 consecutive weeks and must have a six-month break before reapplying - Compliance with background check and drug screening process required before start - Specific hospital orientation and onboarding processes apply Requirements - Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required - Current BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required - Minimum of one year of nursing experience - Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required - Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and families - Basic computer skills required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621252.
