Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a pediatric float pool
position requiring an OK or compact RN license, BLS, and PALS
certification. Responsibilities - Position is within a hospital
float pool, covering pediatric units as assigned - Expected to work
night shifts with holiday and weekend coverage required - Three
12-hour shifts per week for the duration of the assignment -
Patient population includes pediatric patients with a wide range of
medical conditions - Responsible for providing comprehensive
nursing care for pediatric patients with complex and diverse health
needs - Expected to assist physicians with examinations,
procedures, and minor diagnostic treatments - Accountable for
documentation of treatments, interventions, and changes in patient
condition - Required to educate and interact with patients and
families regarding care plans and discharge instructions -
Delegates tasks appropriately to support staff and collaborates
with a multidisciplinary team - Must adhere to facility guidelines
regarding holiday and weekend shift assignments Requirements -
Current OK RN license or valid multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life
Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association -
At least 1 year of nursing experience required - Associate's Degree
in Nursing from an accredited program required - Strong verbal and
written communication skills are necessary - Ability to respond
effectively to diverse patient and family needs - Some computer
proficiency is required - Candidates must live more than 50 miles
