Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring night shifts, an active OK or compact RN license, and current AHA certifications. Responsibilities - Position is in the Pediatric Float Pool of a hospital setting - Cares for a range of pediatric patients from simple to complex medical needs - Night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage required - Assigned to three 12-hour shifts per week - No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered - Responsible for delivering competent care to pediatric patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams - Maintains thorough documentation of patient responses, physician orders, and interventions - Acts as a liaison with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge teaching - Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff - Assignment is limited to a maximum of 26 weeks, with a six-month separation required before reapplying Requirements - Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or a multistate compact state (eNLC) - Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association - Minimum of 1 year RN experience required - Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program - Ability to perform and document patient assessments, administer IVs and medications, and assist with procedures - Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621250.
