Responsibilities - Position is in the adult surgery operating room of a hospital - Care provided to adult surgical patients during operative and invasive procedures - Day shift schedule with five 8-hour shifts per week - Call and holiday coverage are required - 6 months of Level I Trauma experience is required - No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius - Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the perioperative setting - Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment - Must individualize care according to patient health status, age, and specific surgery or procedure - Will perform both direct and indirect professional nursing duties related to operating room care - Expected to coordinate and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary surgical team Requirements - Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state required - Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Minimum of one year recent experience working in an acute operating room environment - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required - Comprehensive knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and AORN standards - Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628844.
