Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pediatrics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Surgical Unit night shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and relevant certifications. Responsibilities - Position is in a hospital Pediatric Surgical Unit - Night shift schedule from 1845 to 0715, three 12-hour shifts per week - Assignment length is 14 weeks - Care involves pediatric surgical patients with varying acuity - Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, IV/blood product monitoring, documenting interventions, assisting physicians, and coordinating care - Interaction with families is expected for sharing care plans and discharge instructions - Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate - Candidates must be able to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors - Holiday coverage may be required depending on unit needs Requirements - Active RN license from Oklahoma or a multistate compact (eNLC) license required - Minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience required - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required - Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association required - Some computer skills are required - Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates) Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617599.
