qualified PCU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Pay Information
$2,146 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Surgical Specialty
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgical Transplant
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36 Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with Stepdown/PCU and
travel experience preferred. Transplant experience is a plus.
License: Current RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life
Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
Must-Have: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices,
techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan,
coordinate, and evaluate nursing services. - Strong verbal and
written communication skills. - Ability to respond effectively to
cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. - Basic
computer skills. Description: Under general supervision, provides
nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health
problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for
an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to
nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all
changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists
physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor
diagnostic procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors
physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological
manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and
monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient
care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing
care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.
Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes
referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as
assigned. This position involves caring for post-surgical kidney,
liver, and pancreas transplant patients. Also cares for
pre-transplant patients being evaluated for transplant during their
inpatient stay. Patients require close monitoring for infection,
rejection, and timely medication delivery. This is not a PACU
