Responsibilities Performs a variety of patient care duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment. Must be able to interact with patients, families, physicians and all levels of staffing an effective manner. Essential Functions: Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment Responds to patients' needs in a timely manner Assists patients with ADL's, including meals, bathing, and hygiene needs Demonstrates ability to perform 12 lead EKG. Qualifications Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Completion of CNA Program, Medical Assistant Program, PCA or similar program preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment. Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred. With low, fixed nurse-to-patient ratios, our nursing team has time to get to know their patients and their families while providing the highest quality, safe, patient-focused care. Patient rooms are fully stocked with all necessary supplies and arranged in a circular, pod layout around each nursing station to streamline patient care and save our nursing team time.
