Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medicine Specialty Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 3x12 Hour Shifts on Days Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week Experience: Must have Medical-Surgical (MS) Experience License: Current RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to a diverse group of patients with varying health issues. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and deliver competent care. - Document patient responses to interventions and medical treatments; stay updated on physician orders. - Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. - Monitor and obtain physiological data, and intervene when necessary. - Administer prescribed medication and manage intravenous infusions and blood products. - Share care plans with patients and families during hospital stays and at discharge. - Inform patients and families about hospital procedures. - Make referrals for patient care needs to the appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned.
