Job Description:
General Description: Under immediate to general supervision and
direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to
achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized
cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult
and/or pediatric patient populations for the purpose of aiding
medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment and surveillance of
simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree of higher. Graduate of a CAAHEP
accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary OB/GYN
specialty as defined by the ARDMS, ARRT and/or CCI (candidates
within 6 weeks of graduation from an approved program may be
considered for employment).
Experience: One year of MFM ultrasound or OB/GYN experience
preferred
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: BLS must be
current upon hire. Must meet applicable eligibility requirements
and published standards for ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the OB/GYN
specialty required by the hiring department. Must be achieved
within 12 months of hire date. Board certification in Nuchal
Translucency required within 12 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Based on specific assignment, skill in applying principles of
OB/GYN, medical imaging, medical terminology, positioning of
patients, and medical ethics. Must be able to work as part of a
team and follow instructions; must be able to consistently and
dependably report to work as scheduled. Ability to be sensitive to
patients' physical and psychological needs. Ability to maintain
accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and
codes. Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate
recommendations. Ability to exercise discretion in handling
confidential information and exercise sound judgment. Must be able
to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. Must possess
ability to understand various operations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to work and communicate with staff, patients and their
families, and meet their needs in a professional, polite,
courteous, compassionate, and cooperative manner. Must display a
high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing
assignments efficiently. Ability to work with minimum supervision
and demonstrate attention to detail.
Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and
physiology; obstetric and gynecological technologies and
terminology associated with the primary specialty for which hired
and credentialed. Ability and skill to apply core-level primary
specialty theory, practices and techniques to perform,
post-process, analyze and annotate study data or procedure
documentation with general supervision or assistance.
