Job Description:
This position is posted as a range. Qualifications, education
and experience will be considered in determining appropriate
classification. Position responsibilities and accountabilities will
vary accordingly based upon the assigned classificationWork
Location is listed as Weatherford OK and the Traverse Wind Farm,
but current responsibilities include all of NCEF (Traverse in
Thomas OK, Maverick in Lahoma\Ames OK, and Sundance in Aline OK).
Office location as well as relocation options are available for any
of the three sites.Lead and assist in the development,
administration, and reinforcement of AEPs safety and environmental
compliance efforts for AEP employees at NCEF as well as AEPs
on-site contractors and partners, in addition to driving the AEP
culture. Under some supervision, position performs work activities
and projects in a safe, effective, efficient and economic
accomplishment of assigned objectives.Essential Functions:Drive AEP
culture within the work group, including with AEP's contractors and
partners. Coordinate work activities of others within work group,
team or those external to the company including contractors,
vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field
work activities in a safe and environmentally conscience
manner.Coordinates and tracks environmental improvements and
compliance.Demonstrates working knowledge of appropriate policies,
procedures and guidelines.Monitors Work and Asset Management to
ensure that work is performed in accordance with established
policies, procedures and guidelines.Monitors and leads all aspects
of safety.Demonstrates ability to work beyond routine assignments
by solving moderately complex problems.Clearly and concisely
develops and presents or reviews reports with customers as
needed.Initiates, leads and facilitates meetings
effectively.Provides input to routine project planning and schedule
with focus on safety and environmental aspects.Participates in AEP
and associated contractor's meetings covering outage/project
schedule, safety issues, and operations and maintenance of
equipment.ES&H oversite of all employees and
contractors.Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical
knowledge and analytical techniques to solution of problems or
analysis.Make decisions and contribute to team decision making and
consensus building.Develop and maintain rapport to assure
cooperation and productive working relationships with contractors
and partners.Work with others in both supplying information and
seeking assistance as necessary.Provide training and guidance to
lower-level employees as appropriate.Pursue effective ways to
protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable
electricity at a competitive cost.Refine and develop safety and
environmental documents and plans specific to wind
facilities.Perform reviews of safety and environmental policies and
projects.Safety and Environmental inspections and reviews of tasks

06Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited
university or college ORAssociate's technical degree and 3 years of
experience in design, operations, planning, construction or
maintenance of systems and/or equipment.Experience:Typically
requires a minimum of three years of experience in work activities
and projects requiring technical knowledge.Coordinator Sr. - grade
07Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited
university or college ORAssociate's technical degree and 6 years of
experience in design, operations, planning, construction or
maintenance of systems and/or equipment.Experience:Typically
requires a minimum of six years of experience in work activities
and projects requiring technical knowledge.Other Requirements (both
levels):Must be available to work overtime, call-out overtime and
shift work, as required.Travel requirements are expected and could
be > 50 % of the time.Physical demand level is Active. Climbing
of wind turbine towers is required.Communicate effectively both
verbally and in writing. Listen and identify customer needs/wants.
Effectively communicate with team, management, customers,
contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies.Apply problem solving
skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution
techniques.Demonstrate an attitude and desire to listen to and
satisfy both internal and external customers who use and depend
upon our work.Position requires working outside in all types of
weather.Position may require extended hours to accomplish assigned
tasks and meet project/outage requirements and schedules.Extensive
travel required and possible relocation. Applicant should have a
good understanding of all relevant safety and environmental rules,
regulations, policies and procedures.Additional
Information:Advanced safety skills and experience is preferred,
with additional preference in safety programs related to the wind
industry.Site is listed as Traverse Wind Farm in Thomas Oklahoma,
but responsibilities include all of NCEF.Valid driver's license if
