Job Description:
SUMMARY The Director of Clinical Compliance is responsible for
the clinical and administrative functions providing a systematic
approach to monitor and implement the standards, rules, and
criteria, and Statement of Work (SOW) for the Oklahoma Department
of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), Oklahoma
Health Care Authority (OHCA), Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and other funding sources and
accrediting/certifying agencies. Works with various departments
including IT, Program Directors and the Red Rock Management Team to
ensure collaboration and implementation. Maintains knowledge of and
assists in meeting the goals and objectives of the Chief Executive
Officer (CEO). Supervises the CQI department and assures high
quality chart reviews, dissemination of information to staff and
needed training for staff. Supervises the Access Center meeting all
Red Rock policies and procedure and provides clinical oversight as
needed. Serves as a point of contract for grant submission and
assist with grants as requested. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with colleagues to implement policies and develop
improvements
- Works with compliance, IT and other staff to assure the agency
goals and objectives are met
- Maintains knowledge of CEO's goals and objectives and works to
meet those goals.
- Maintains awareness of community needs, Red Rock's image, etc.,
and communicates these to the CEO
- Assists in grant writing and knowledge of submission of
grants
- Participates as one knowledgeable of the clinical structure
within Red Rock, the capacity for service delivery and the needs of
the community and Red Rock
- Maintains core competencies in relation to working with
co-occurring disorders through continuing education and
implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
- Assists in the development and implementation of programmatic
goals and objectives and ensures completion of all required CQI
reports
- Serves as a key contact and liaison to the ODMHSAS and CARF and
other agencies as assigned
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of Plans of Corrections
from ODMHSAS and other similar functions.
- Assists with processes to gather data for evaluating outcomes
and analyzing the resulting issues
- Assists with completion of monthly, quarterly, semi and annual
reports as required by certifying, funding, and accrediting
bodies
- May travel to all Red Rock BHS sites to provide support and
technical assistance as needed
- Functions as a member of all relevant agency committees
- Assists with program and agency outcomes to ensure that
outcomes are up-to-date, relevant, and meet funding, certification,
and accreditation requirements
- Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency
policies, rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in
ongoing in-service training as well as pertinent external
training
- Assists in the development and implementation of programmatic
goals and objectives
- Serves as point of contact for and person responsible to
complete the National Mental Health Services Survey (N-MHSS) and
National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services (N-SSATS) web
survey
- Assists with Program Plans to ensure Clinical Standards are
met
- Assists the CEO with various projects/performs other duties as
assigned QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in social science, business, health planning or
related field. License preferred
- Good knowledge of safety net behavioral health system in
Oklahoma
- Five years administrative/supervisory experience in a mental
health setting
- Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS
- Experience in working with community social service and health
agencies preferred
- Experience in or positive orientation to case management
preferred
- High quality of written communication and verbal communication
preferred
- High quality of educational experiences and previous work
experiences preferred
- Experience in or knowledge of working with low-income and
minority clients within a community setting preferred
- Experience in writing and defending mental health grants
preferred
- Excellent communication skills including writing and
editing
