We invite you to take the first step in making a difference by applying to a position with Goodwill.JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for strategic leadership, management, and growth of the Community Workforce division, that combines three pillars of work:* Business Development (create demand): create employment opportunities for job seekers, identify contract services and create opportunities for donated goods and philanthropic giving with targeted employers and partners.* Job Readiness (supply qualified candidates): provide training and programmatic support to job seekers to prepare them for employment.* Staffing (match employers and jobs with qualified candidates): place job seekers into job opportunities.* This position directly supervises leaders of each of the Community Workforce pillars and indirectly supervises staff and others assigned to support the Community Workforce department.* This position will report directly to the President/CEO and will serve as a member of the executive team.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Include the following and any other duties as assigned.Safety Responsibilities:* Complying with the guidelines for all associates.* Ensure that applicable personal protective equipment is available, in proper operating condition, and used for each job performed.* Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safe guards are in place.* Constantly monitor the work area, conduct periodic safety inspections of your area and take immediate corrective action when work areas and/or practices are deemed to be unsafe or deficiencies are found.* Immediately report accidents/incidents/near misses to Human Resources, your department head and to Safety.* Be accountable for all associates who are out on lost time accidents and actively initiate light duty return to work as soon as possible.* Be accountable for the failure of any and all associates who fail to follow safety rules and regulations, and acceptable work practices.* Discipline those who disregard safe work practices and procedures.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:* Minimum 4-year degree and 10 years of general management and organizational leadership and development experience with increasingly complex leadership roles including responsibility for higher-level strategy and management of teams, large accounts, and community brand reputation in the realm of staffing and employment servicesExperience:* Strong software capabilities to analyze the business and develop presentations are required, to include: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.* Demonstrated ability to identify, train, lead and manage sales and/or account management, staffing and training teams* Demonstrated ability to define strategic plans and ensure their successful deployment through effective tactical implementation plans and execute against them* Demonstrated success in running a Profit/Loss management revenue generating organization* Track record for maintaining and deepening relationships with customers or accounts* Adept at networking, building relationships, and community engagementCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS* Valid Oklahoma Driver's License* Proof of current auto insuranceCORE COMPETENCIES* Initiative and Drive for Strong Results* Strong Decision Making Skills* Business Acumen* Customer Focus* Organizational Agility* Peer Relationships Building* Planning and Implementation* Managing Purpose and Vision* Building Effective TeamsLANGUAGE SKILLS* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents.* Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.* Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and Board of Directors.* Expertise in communications and verbal and written presentations of products and services; very strong computer presentation skills required (PowerPoint, etc.)MATHEMATICAL SKILLS* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.REASONING ABILITY* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out and solve situations with several variables.* Strong analytical skills required.* Ability to interpret instructions and draw conclusions based on information.* Follow through skills are critical.* Interpreting data and reviewing documents for accuracy is critical.* Attention to detail is a must.* Ability to organize thoughts, ideas and information in a presentation format is required for some duties.* Strong analytical skills, able to project, tracking, and report business results.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.* Sitting for long periods of time; walking, standing is moderate with occasional bending, squatting; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.* Moderate lifting up to 10 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 lbs. such as files, paper, etc.WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS* Duties are performed in the office in addition in the field with travel to all GICO locations required and overnight travel occasionally for conferences, etc.* General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE* The effectiveness of the performance of the Vice President of Community Workforce will be measured by the following:* Quality and level of jobs created and placed.* Leadership and organizational management competency as demonstrated by the annual performance reviews* Meeting enterprise business objectives for placements (internal, external, temp and supported employment), philanthropic support, donated goods retail and contracted services.* Adherence to a strategic business plan for Community Workforce, the achievement of goals, implementation of various programs and activities and the attainment of budgetary targets.* Ability to manage the coordination of community relationships with public grant funds, private funds to advance identified community workforce initiatives.* Overall contribution to the achievement of the organization's mission and objectives.
