SMX is currently recruiting for an energetic and innovative Program Manager for a collection of IT and Cloud projects leveraging a wide variety of process methodologies and technologies for our State and Local customers. You will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting customers and delivering solutions to solve complex, rapidly changing challenges.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

--- Plan and manage technical projects to ensure they remain in scope and are completed effectively and efficiently, on time and within budget.

--- Supervise, direct, and manage technical and administrative Contractor personnel in the completion of cloud or application system design, development, migration, modernization, and/or administration.

--- Serve as the technical point of contact for project services provided by the Contractor.

--- Provide updated technical, schedule, and risk status inputs to Contractor management and Customer leads.

--- Conduct program management for individually assigned programs and/or projects by preparing and updating project plans, financial forecasts submitting status reports, and capturing lessons learned.

--- Coordinate cross-functional meetings of personnel related to project, whether contractor, subcontractor, associate contractor, or client team members.

--- Allocate appropriate resources to ensure programs/projects are completed within the given time and budget.

--- Create, submit, and track services, software, and equipment procurement documentation; reconcile invoices and payments in accordance with corporate policies.

--- Works cooperatively with the Program Manager/Site Lead in developing short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures in accordance with contract parameters.

--- Works with team to problem-solve and facilitates issue resolution with high quality outcomes.

Required Skills/Experience

--- Bachelor's degree in technical or business-related discipline

--- Practical project management experience in a State and Local environment

--- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

--- Experience in developing proposals and overseeing subcontractor performance and compliance

--- Demonstrated success in executing project management principles to effectively manage cost, schedule, and scope

--- Able to handle shifting priorities and possess excellent time management skills to complete tasks within required timeframes with little to no supervision

--- Strong written and verbal communication skills

--- Ability to manage project budgets, identify financial issues, and develop cost proposals

--- Ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust investigation

Desired Skills/Experience

--- Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives

--- Agile Certification and experience with Agile planning tools

--- ITIL Certification and experience in Information Technology Service Management environments
