Job Description:
The Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for assessing and
managing credit risk across the bank's loan portfolio. The Credit
Risk Manager will work closely with senior management, lenders, and
other departments to ensure that the bank's credit policies and
procedures are being adhered to.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist in
developing, implement and maintain credit risk policies and
procedures for the bankManage a team of Credit Analysts and Credit
AdminsAdhere to turnaround time expectations for credit memos,
covenant tests, and file reviewsAnalyze credit data and financial
statements to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential
borrowersEvaluate existing loans and assess the risk of default or
delinquencyManage the loan portfolio to ensure it remains within
acceptable risk limitsMake recommendations for credit decisions to
senior management and loan committeesStay up-to-date on regulatory
requirements and ensure that the bank is in compliance with all
relevant laws and regulationsWork closely with the lending team to
provide guidance and training on credit policies and
proceduresMonitor economic and industry trends to assess potential
risks to the bank's loan portfolioPerform other duties as assigned
by senior management.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform other
duties as assigned by bank management.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED
TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis work is sedentary and requires
the following physical activities:Sitting for long periods of time;
occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger

skills.Knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations,
laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them including
but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.Ability to work accurately
with close attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality
of sensitive information.Ability to study and apply new
information.Ability to learn products, services and procedures
quickly and accurately; explain concepts clearly to
customers.Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly
and personable and look for ways to benefit the customer.Excellent
customer contact skills; comfortable asking questions/interviewing
customers about their financial situation; strong listening
skills.Understand how to present features and benefits of products
and services to customers needs.Must be self-motivated, assertive,
and perform well in a team environment.Must be organized and
maintain a positive demeanor in all situations.EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a
related field5+ years of experience in a credit risk or supervisory
role, preferably at a community bankStrong analytical and critical
thinking skillsAbility to communicate complex financial information
clearly and conciselyStrong attention to detail and ability to work
under pressureExperience with loan underwriting and credit
analysisKnowledge of banking regulations and compliance
requirementsStrong organizational and project management
skills.
