Manager is responsible for retaining and growing our member
population in an assigned territory, serving as liaison between
GEHA and assigned agencies, and as the primary point of contact for
federal employees at those agencies. This encompasses developing
strong, long-term client relationships with agency influencers and
decision-makers. Maintains a high level of knowledge of GEHA Plans
and effectively presents the GEHA brand and plan offering in the
marketplace through in-person and virtual presentations and
consultations. Facilitates the resolution of claims and service
issues. With a focus on sales and retention, achievement of annual
goals set forth by management is critical.SKILLSKey Duties:
- Identifies opportunities and successfully sells marketing
events, such as New Employee Orientations, Medicare and Wellness
events, to gain access to prospective members, with the goal of
increasing membership. Conducts compelling presentations,
coordinates shipments of supplies, and engages prospective members
in persuasive conversations about GEHA plans at these in-person and
virtual events.
- Uses sales skills during in-person and virtual meetings with
federal personnel representatives (ABOs) to obtain their help in
getting access to the federal employee base through valuable events
that educate and inform. Offers in-person or virtual ABO seminars
in their territory to update ABOs on at least an annual basis.
- Embraces, promotes, and implements new Sales, Marketing, and
Service initiatives.
- Ensures future revenue by nurturing existing member
relationships, engaging them at Wellness events, Service Days or
other events designed to retain and grow membership. Assists with
customer questions, concerns or requests, relays needs to the
appropriate individual or department within the company, and
follows up with the customer.
- Develops Account Plans with sales strategies and executes the
plans. Updates account/agency records accurately and regularly
including contact information, contact roles and hierarchy, status
of opportunities, and detailed visit history. Captures all this
accurately in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.
Creates an effective visit/contact schedule using CRM records to
ensure contact with each agency on an appropriate regularity. Keeps
CRM Calendar current. Reports on all activities using CRM.
- Meets an established production quota, which can include but is
not limited to: number of events, emails/calls to contacts, account
plans, leads, ABO meetings, classes, and increase in members.
- Organizes and coordinates attendance at in-person and virtual
Open Season enrollment events, Agency Benefit Officers (ABO)
Seminars, conventions, conferences, National Active and Retired
Federal Employees (NARFE) meetings. Creates high-value events such
as health and wellness fairs and retirement briefings, in-person
and virtual, to promote plan benefits and services.

- Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing,
Communications, English, Business Administration, Business
Management, additional years of qualifying work experience may be
considered in lieu of formal education
- Requires three years of work experience in health insurance
(claims, communications, customer service, sales, public relations
or marketing) and/or sales and marketing
- Must be reliable and adaptive to change and meet deadlines
- Requires strong attention to detail and effective time
management skills
- Exercises sound decision-making abilities
- Must be able to work independently, as well as to collaborate
with members of a team
- Requires knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, or
similar virtual meeting platforms
- Requires the ability to research and analyze plan
documents
- Requires superior verbal and written communication skills, and
demonstrated presentation skills
- Continues to refine sales skills through training and
practice
- Accepts coaching willingly and has a drive to continually

- Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed
Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home
office.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5
(30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
- Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
- Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT
allowed for this role.

for this position is $58,310 - $81,690 USD.GEHA is an Equal
