LeadingAge Oklahoma Director of Member ServicesLeadingAge Oklahoma is the state association of not-for-profit organizations dedicated to establishing the highest standards of excellence for services to the aging in Oklahoma. Our purpose is to be supportive of each member organization's quest for excellence. The membership consists exclusively of not-for-profit providers and remains the only state association that represents the interests of providers throughout the continuum of care: nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, adult day service providers, independent living and continuum of care retirement communities. LeadingAge Oklahoma provides education, advocacy, and a network for organizations committed to serving the needs of the elderly in Oklahoma. LeadingAge Oklahoma is the state affiliate of the LeadingAge whose membership totals nearly 6,000 not-for-profit providers of aging services across the nation.Position DescriptionLeadingAge Oklahoma is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Position includes conference/meeting planning, membership educational programming coordination, communications, database management, and member relations. Growing mission-driven nonprofit organization offering a flexible work environment for a self-directed, detail-oriented individual.Manage the group purchasing program: Increase member participation in the Value First Group Purchasing Program; Coordinate marketing and outreach for group purchasing programs; Serve as the primary contact for those participating in the program; Oversee recordkeeping for the program.Manage member communications such as surveys, education updates and other association information. Contribute to monthly newsletter. Manage and coordinate all aspects of the association's annual awards program.Manage business affiliate member relations and recruitment/retention strategies: Serve as primary contact for business affiliate members and prospective members regarding membership and benefits; Develop/oversee business member recruitment/retention; Establish and enhance relations with business partners to explore bringing new programs and services to increase membership value and increase revenue to the association; Stay abreast of current trends in association business development and vendor related relationships.Management of the major components to the association's conferences and seminars in consultation with the Executive Director, which includes: Initiating/developing/managing contractual relationships with meeting sites; Coordination of graphic design of conference materials; Solicit and manage sponsorships for conferences/education events; Manage the exhibits and activities associated with the educational events; Provide technical audio/visual support for education programs.Oversee general membership recruitment/retention processes: Field general member questions and follow-up by calling, e-mailing, or mailing materials; Refer detailed member issues to Executive Director for follow-up; Field prospective member questions regarding the association and follow-up Refer detailed member issues to Executive Director for follow-up; Maintain member database; Develop/update membership information materials; Collect program revenue data and coordinate dues information.Job Requirements: Exhibit strong computer and organizational skills to manage multiple aspects of association member services and contribute to the team effort to advance the organization's mission. Demonstrate initiative, creativity and self-direction in fulfilling job responsibilities. Demonstrate initiative in obtaining knowledge and skills necessary to improve job performance. Perform other duties as may be assigned.Specific Qualifications and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, public relations or related field desirable. Experience and/or knowledge of sales, marketing and customer service. Experience in association management, communication, meeting management and exhibitor sales desirable.Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with members and non-members in a courteous and timely manner to develop positive professional relationships. Exceptional administrative, communicative (oral and written) and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to meeting deadlines and coordinate multiple projects within specific time limits. Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude. Thorough knowledge of basic computer applications as well as technical and strong computer skills. Ability to work flexible hours for business-related meetings. Ability to manage in a self-directed work environment.
