The Deloitte Center for Integrated Research (CIR) is a research
team that works with our firm's most senior leaders to develop
rigorously vetted and data-driven thought leadership. We sit at the
center of Deloitte's industry and functional expertise, combining
the leading insights from across our firm to develop fresh thinking
that helps clients confidently navigate today's most challenging
issues. Our work helps enable Deloitte to speak with one voice and
pave the way for new practices and capabilities.
We are looking for a manager and subject matter expert to help lead
technology research related to our global thought leadership
campaigns. This person work alongside senior leadership to develop,
implement, and help manage the daily activities of some of
Deloitte's highest priority technology-focused research
initiatives. This will require managing project teams of junior
researchers, writers, and analysts, while overseeing the production
and deployment of a variety of research outputs to enhance
Deloitte's reputation, build client relationships, and ultimately

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning & program management: Works alongside senior
leadership within the firm to develop, plan, and execute global
thought leadership agendas and initiatives. Helps develop and
communicate the priority agenda to senior leadership. Prioritizes
and coordinates research activities with Deloitte businesses,
industries, regions, and client partners to respond to client
inquiries around studies.
- Thought leadership development & project management: Develops
and authors thought leadership and provides operational support for
thought leadership initiatives. Designs executable and credible
research studies consistent with Deloitte's professional standards,
ensuring reports are based in credible qualitative and quantitative
methodologies and focused on unique insights and findings. Liaises
with internal and external subject matter experts to research and
synthesize new perspectives, write publications, and plan ongoing
future studies. Coordinates key projects and data collection
processes for each study, performing technical analysis and
reporting. Formulates tactical business recommendations for an
executive audience, while ensuring the projects are properly
conceived, structured, focused, of high quality, and address the
needs of the relevant business and clients.
- Team leadership & people management: Contributes to the broader
thought leadership community in Deloitte by sharing ideas,
methodologies, and best practices. Develops and implements
programs/initiatives in a way that fosters a sense of community
among research professionals across the firm's client practice
professionals. Mentors and manages junior research staff on
projects, helping them to develop their skillset and progress in
their career path.
Required Technical Skills
- Writing / Research / Journalism: Ability to think critically
and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into
well-articulated and insightful thought leadership content,
designed for an audience of senior business leaders.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to command and manage
an executive audience.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Shows subject expertise in the areas
of technology and digital transformation, and demonstrate the
ability to serve as a thought partner to senior leaders by helping
identify and analyze emerging talent-related trends.
- Program Management: Ability to contribute to developing a
strategic research agenda, plan and execute research projects
involving multiple team members, manage senior stakeholders, and
prioritize multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- People Management: Experience managing and mentoring people,
encouraging professional development and serving as an example and
standard bearer to junior team members.
- Research Methods: Experience designing and applying a variety
of qualitative and quantitative methods to confirm hypotheses and
research questions and develop unique insights for an executive
- Bachelor's degree required
- Limited sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 5-10%, on average, based on the work you do
and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Education & Experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Background in Journalism, Marketing, or Executive/Strategic
Communications and Thought Leadership development
- Experienced publishing written work for a professional
- 8-10 years of experience
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or
Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable
estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation
range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada
and takes into account the wide range of factors that are
considered in making compensation decisions including but not
limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and
certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The
disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable
geographic differential associated with the location at which the
position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an
individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their
role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and
circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current
range is $95,070.00-$175,080.00.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual
incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program,
whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including,
without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
