You will partner with individuals, schools, lawmakers, healthcare providers and others to ensure everyone has access to healthier lifestyle choices and proper healthcare.ResponsibilitiesWe have an excellent opportunity for a Development Director - Heart Challenge in Oklahoma City .The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in conjunction with the Executive Director to expand the success of the Oklahoma City Heart & Stroke Walks, CycleNation, & Field Day campaigns across the market. This position will be a part of the Oklahoma City Heart Challenge team with a focus on new business to successfully achieve an overall fundraising goal of $400-$625k net through corporate sponsorship and driving participant income.Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development through sponsorship and corporate fundraising. High focus on developing relationships with new companies.
  • Develop relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and key corporate/community leaders to successfully drive participation in Heart Challenge.
  • Manage peer-to-peer fundraising in participating Heart Challenge companies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Perform donor/fundraiser data entry and generate donor/fundraising reports (Luminate, Dynamics.
  • Monitor participant fundraising trends and implement proven strategies to maximize revenue for all Heart Challenge events in Colorado.
  • Serve as internal point person alongside the Executive Director to manage the Heart Challenge Leadership Team Kickoff, Executive Leadership Team meetings, and Accounting Challenge events.
  • Proactively provides event support for priority revenue generation.
  • Organize and create AHA account team contacts, sponsorship contacts, proposals, letters of agreement, sponsorship payments, presentations and benefits delivered.
  • Ensuring successful collaboration and implementation of National Heart Challenge strategies.

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
    • 3 + years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity.
    • 1 year of direct staff managerial experience preferably with a sales or fundraising team in a similar organization.
    • Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management, proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals.
    • Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
    • Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multitask and must also be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory up to 75.
    • Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
