Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a City Manager. The right candidate will manage the day to day division business operations established in a designated city to achieve the city's business objectives.---- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -----Oversee processes and strategies to achieve the city's goals for profitability and growth established by the Division President -----Participates in the establishment of organizational plans for city operations and associated functions-----Manages the implementation of the marketing, business development and expansion plans created for city operations-----Focus on achieving annual goals established for designated city operations-----Manage multiple tasks and departments, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines in a designated city-----Communicate and update status of all department functions to the Division President-----Enforce the Division President's business practices at local level-----Walk floor plans of competitors to compare product, design ideas, features and cost-----Drive communities of competitors to evaluate communities and amenities-----Develop budgets for future communities based on market analysis-----Oversee and participate in weekly city meetings focusing on sales, starts and closings-----Ensure construction schedules are followed -----Review operations and performance of the different functions for operations in a designated city.-- Works with Division President to take corrective action as deemed necessary to achieve goals-----Supplies data and participates in leadership to achieve the forecast numbers for the city and established business plan while ensuring customer satisfaction-----Focus daily on processes and procedures to maximize resources to meet city goals and objectives-- -----Promote an atmosphere of accountability that focuses on quality and customer satisfaction-----Foster environment and processes to create repeat customers-----Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company-----Attends and participates in division monthly, quarterly and annual business goal review meetings-----Recognize talent, recruit, retain and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful city operation -----Constantly monitor market trends within the designated city-----Ensure all employees represent D.R. Horton, Inc. and the division professionally to the public and local government offices -----Manage company policies and construction method policies regarding uniformity to comply with quality standards at the local level-----Ensure strict adherence to safety, ethics and compliance requirements-----Build strategic relationships and a network of business contacts Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervises 2 or more employeesJob Requirements: Required Qualifications -----Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university -----Seven to ten years related experience -----Must have a vehicle and a valid driver---s license -----Homebuilding experience -----Work effectively in high pressure situations -----Basic accounting or finance knowledge -----Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills -----Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications -----Proficiency with MS Office and email -----Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.-- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.-- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision -----Regular exposure to outside weather conditions -----The noise level is generally moderate Preferred Qualifications -----Ability to communicate organizational policies and other information to subordinates -----Experience in land and lot acquisition Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
