The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking
a Project Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located
in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma .
A successful member of this team will understand and execute
modifications and upgrades for the Airborne Surveillance Command
and Control (ASC2), Bombers, or the Executive Transport Services &
Systems (ETS&S) programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple
skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and
customers
Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and
development, ongoing and new business requirements
Works with customers and management to obtain approval
Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates
proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables,
resources, costs and schedules
Leads project execution to complete the work statement
Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates
resources required over the life of the project or program
Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project
performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the
development and execution of project or team plans. Works under
minimal direction
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security
Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is
required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
3+ years experience in Earned Value Management
5+ years' experience multi-discipline project management
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned Value Management (EVM) silver medallion or higher
Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas
with internal and external resources and customers is preferred
Experience with complex systems development and integration
preferred
Experience with leading project execution to complete the work
statement is preferred
Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems
engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value
management, DOORs, CAMEO)
Experience with Model Based Engineering
Experience with Agile/JIRA
Troubleshooting engineering skills
Experience as a CAM or CAM delegate
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.

guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and
qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $107,100 - $144,900
