Mechanical Engineer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for support on E-6
projects associated with the design and development of
communication, navigation, radar, avionics, power and/or electrical
systems architecture, components, circuits, and products or
aircraft maintenance. The employee will research, develop, design,
and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and products
for defense systems or commercial purposes.This engineer will
support the Lead Engineer in execution of various program
activities, to include program reviews, test procedure, report, and
control plan development and review, requirements management,
automated test software development, test execution and witnessing,
and hardware selection and specification
development.Responsibilities:Analyze complex systems and precision
electro-mechanical assemblies through simulation or analysis in
order to recommend component substitutions or re-design solutions
to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, system
safety, and performance specificationsIdentify, analyze, and solve
obsolescence issuesAccess, interpret, and recommend changes to
engineering drawings.Establish design concepts, criteria and
engineering efforts for product research, development, integration
and testEstablish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans
and schedulesIdentify program problems and assist in the
establishing of solutions, such as allocation of resources,
improved processes, or changing contractual specificationsAct
independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the
development and implementation of programsSupport process
improvement and establishmentPerforms functional analysis, timeline
analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and
interface definition studies to translate customer requirements
into hardware and software specificationsGenerates reports and
presents to Government counterparts, defense contractors, and other
cross-functional organizationsResearch, plans, designs and develops
mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls,
robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat
transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use
of energyApplies research to the planning, design, development, and
testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems,
instruments, controls, engines, and/or machinesBasic
Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or
related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of engineering
experience or a Master's degree in mechanical engineering or
related discipline with a minimum of 0 years of engineering
experienceExperience with Engineering, Stress, DER, Materials, and
Processes (M&P), OEM and/or other technical sources to obtain
the necessary data to formulate repairStrong structural analysis
background with demonstrated work experience and knowledge as a
structural analyst in Aerospace industryAbility to read engineering
drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with finite element (FEM)
analysis, classical stress and strain methodology, engineering
statics, and structural mechanics including hand
calculationsAbility to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)
secret security clearanceAbility to obtain/maintain base access to
Tinker AFBPreferred Qualifications:DoD Secret ClearanceThe
preferred candidate will have a familiarity with the following
documents and aerospace engineering applicationsNiu: Airframe
Structural Design Bruhn Analysis and Design of Flight Vehicle
StructuresFlabel: Practical Stress Analysis for Design Engineers
MIL-STD-461G, Requirements for the Control of Electromagnetic

Range: $63,000 USD - $946,000 USDSalary Range 2: $0 USD - $78,800
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
