Job Details Responsibilities Develops the capability, capacity and reliability of various in-process and end of line test equipment. Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and final product quality. Recommends and implements measures for test system replacement parts, preventive maintenance measures and machine inspection frequency to support operational goals. Interfaces with the customer---s engineering resources to develop final test strategies. Prepares and submits new product test validation data to the customer for final test parameter approval. Interfaces with production operations to coordinate test development of new products, based on new product launch and implementation timing goals. Troubleshoots operational capability, quality, capacity and test machine reliability problems and facilitates problem solving efforts to determine root cause and corrective actions. Provides regular status reports and updates to the Engineering Test Systems Manager. Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the quality management system as related to end of line testing. Qualifications A Bachelor---s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with at least one year of experience with automatic transmission processes. General knowledge of engineering mechanics, physics, hydraulics, electronics and computer software. A basic understanding of the operational theory and principles of operation of automatic transaxle/transmissions is required. Familiarity with common instrumentation testing equipment and data acquisition and control systems required. Experience programming real-time applications such as PLC and LabVIEW. Experience with electronics and automation. High level of analytical ability required, where problems are unusual and difficult.
