If so, our Technology Services Sectoris seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Youwill become part of Northrop Grumman's Sustainment Engineering and Technical Center (SETC). SETC provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-2 Bomber, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.Youwill support the Lead Engineer in execution of various program activities, to include program reviews, reverse or re-engineering current / new systems or line replaceable unit's hardware and software.You will perform these tasks: support the standard systems development process beginning with requirements development through systems certification.You will be part of a team responsible for system requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, test planning, procedure development, execution, data collection, analysis and reporting.You will support the system safety and airworthiness certification process.You will support development of the full technical data package associated with the fielding and sustainment of aircraft systems or subsystems.You will support reliability and maintainability (R&M) and risk assessments at all levels. Your responsibilities will include:Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and testSupport a team of engineers working various systems or componentsIdentify, analyze, and solve technical performance issues, low reliability or maintainability problems, or obsolescence issuesAccess, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawingsEstablish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedulesIdentify program problems and assist in the establishing of solutions, such as allocation of resources, improved processes, or changing contractual specificationsAct independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of programsSupport process improvement and establishmentSupport R&M or risk analysis at the platform, system, subsystem level and present resultsDevelop multiple types of documents for the creation of a technical data packagePerform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate study requirements and prepare study reportsVerify designs through simulation and laboratory testing to ensure they meet all system specifications to include electrical, mechanical, and electromagnetic requirementsInvestigate support equipment maintenance instructions vs. drawing requirements and analyze discrepanciesDetermine discrepancy impacts to the component/system level and develop report findings for presentation internally and to the customerDevelop/Coordinate a plan/inspections to resolve issues and create documentation updates including summary reports for delivery internally or to the customer Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsGenerate and or review reports and deliverables presented by counterparts, subcontractors and other cross-functional organizationsBasic Qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of5 years of engineering experience. 2.Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance3.Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma4. Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware components5. Experience with aerospace systems6. Experience with Air Force customers and aerospace industry and military standards Preferred Qualifications: 1. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)2. Experience on 707 type aircraft platforms like the KC-135, E-3, E-8 3. Experience with test planning at the circuit card, equipment and system level4. Experience troubleshooting on platform issues, conducting root cause analysis, development of alternative solutions, presenting results internally and to the customer as well as preparation of engineering change packages5. Experience conductinganalysis of electrical components within aircraft maintenance programs, determining effectiveness and creating written recommendations forincreasing efficiency and effectiveness6. Experience with nuclear hardened systems7. Experience with the design, analysis, sustainment and use of field level test equipment for aircraft electrical or electronic systems 8. Experience with information security, COMSEC and/or TEMPEST9. Experience with DOORS and general requirements management best practices10. Experience with any of the following tools: Reliasoft, OrCAD, MicroCap, Altium, ANSYS, HFSS, FEKO, CST, Satellite Tool Kit, Communications Tool Kit software, MATLAB, Verilog (VHDL), LabVIEW, assembly, C/C++11.
