Jeremy Hodge Chevrolet GMC The Lube Technician is responsible for
performing basic vehicle maintenance services including, oil
changes, lubrication, fluid checks and inspections. This
entry-level role supports the service team by ensuring vehicles are
maintained according to manufacturer and company standards while
delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform
oil changes, lubrication services and filter replacements Check and
top off fluids (engine oil, washer fluid) Inspect vehicle
components such as belts, hoses, tires, lights and wiper blades
Rotate tires and check tire pressure as needed Install basic parts
such as air filters and wiper blades Identify and report potential
mechanical issues to service advisors or technicians Maintain a
clean, organized and safe work area Follow all safety procedures
and company policies Provide courteous and professional service to
customers Requirements Education and/or Experience High school
diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma) preferred Previous
automotive or lube technician experience is a plus but not required
Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn Strong
diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to use hand tools and
shop equipment Strong attention to detail Good communication and
teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions and safety
guidelines Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended
periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a
fast-paced environment Work Environment Automotive service shop or
quick lube facility Exposure to oils, chemicals, noise, and varying
