Job Description:

The NorthCare Mobile Crisis and Outreach Teams Grant is implemented by the Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Center for Mental Health Services. This temporary program is designed to collaborate with local police departments and community providers in order to provide crisis diversion, advocacy, referrals, and social services to families and adults in need and avert more restrictive environments. The end date for the RSP is September 29, 2023. Administrative assistant assists with collecting and compiling data and assuring data quality. Must demonstrate vaccination for COVID-19 prior to start date. Follow up with individuals receiving project services through the Mobile Crisis and Outreach teams. Conduct face-to-face or telephone interviews to collect NOMs and other data. Provide additional support to the team (50%) in terms of handling telephone calls, tracking requests for service, providing information to the public, helping with e-mail requests, providing a high level of customer service, and entering data into the SPARS. Supply program staff with materials and information needed to serve the adults and families in the CMHC Grant program. Prepares paperwork packets for staff use. Return calls and troubleshoots when needed with calls regarding customers and their families. Forwards calls or messages to program management staff when situation is complex. Compile various reports, invoices and statistic-gathering projects for Project Director. Support collaboration with external providers through assisting with obtaining memorandums of understanding. Attends all necessary intra-agency and community meetings. Takes minutes, gathers attendance information, and scans meeting documents into the appropriate program's shared drive. Coordinates and assists with planning of meetings and contacts participants when needed. General clerical/administrative duties for program as assigned. Participates in trainings/workshops related to the program and expands knowledge base in young and older adult mental health. Abides by the agency's policy on confidentiality and at all times respects the integrity and confidentiality of the persons receiving services. Performs other duties as required and/or assigned by management and/or executive staff. Qualifications Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one year of experience in an administrative or office environment. Must demonstrate vaccination for COVID-19 prior to start date. Must possess and maintain current Therapeutic Options certifications. Must have and/or complete Core Level Co-Occurring Training and Trauma Informed Training via NetSmart University within 60 days of employment with NorthCare. Must have TB test within 12 months prior to employment with NorthCare, or obtain within 30 days of employment with NorthCare. Must display proficiency in the MS Word processing software and intermediate general computer skills. Excellent written and oral skills are essential, along with strong organizational skills. Must be able to move about the facilities freely and sit for extended periods. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally with English-speaking consumers.
