Job Description:

Jasco is looking for an Accountant that will provide support and assistance to the Sr. Accounting Manager with the preparation and completion of interim and year-end financial statements and account reconciliations. Works to continually improve process efficiencies/capabilities through improved systems and better processes. Provides accounting and financial-related analysis to improve company financials and data accuracy.Prepares, enters, and posts month-end journal entries during the month-end close process.Reviews, prepares, enters, and posts accounting/cash disbursement information from international offices into U.S. general ledger.Prepares month-end reconciliations. Reviews general ledger activity for accuracy.Reconciles general ledger balances to Financial Statement line items.Reconciles various supporting sub-ledgers to the general ledgers.Reconciles monthly bank statements.Prepares and maintains daily banking activity worksheets. Prepares audit work papers and assists with annual audits and bank reviews.Prepares and distributes various sales/inventory reports and analyses.Reviews standard cost receipt variances and prepares standard cost adjustment proposals.Assists in the review and posting of cash receipt transactions.Reviews payment requests and submits them to donor-advised funds related to the Jasco Giving Hope Foundation for processing.Assists other Team Members with various duties and projects as requested.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent is required. Two years of experience in the accounting field is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, accounting systems, business law, and procedures. Skills in research, account reconciliation, audit, financial analysis, written and oral communication, and accounting techniques. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical calculations, including ratios and percentages. AS400 experience preferred. Ability to clearly write emails, letters, procedures, and financial reports. Ability to exercise prudent judgment and react to changing conditions.
