Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Long Term Care Financial
Specialist who will play a vital role in the company by working
closely with the resident and/or responsible party to gather
financial information to assist in determining if the resident will
qualify for Medicaid. The position requires a resourceful,
self-directed team player capable of handling multiple tasks,
including research, meeting with and communicating with residents
via email/phone and collecting required financial
verification.Responsibilities and PurposeResponsible for assessing
finances for all new inquiries prior to admission, as well as
current residents transitioning from skilled to long term care
services.Responsible for data entry of resident's income and assets
into Financial Planning Questionnaire to assist in identifying
possible Medicaid eligibility issues.Collecting required financial
documents as identified during financial interview.Send and receive
faxed/emailed documents electronically.Deploy, maintain and report
on various programs.Conduct duties in a professional and timely
fashion.Desired Experience and EducationBasic computer skills,
including Microsoft Office.Business Office Manager or Admissions
Coordinator experience is helpful.Experience and knowledge of
Long-term care Medicaid eligibility is preferred.Ability to
prioritize, multi-task and work independently.Ability to
communicate with others in a professional
manner.RequirementsAbility to pass criminal background
