  • Extended Medical Benefit (EMB)OHH Financial Services: 7800 NW 85th Terrace, OKC OK 73132/ *Full-Time, Days 8am-5pm.Responsibilities:The OHH Patient Account Specialist-Collections representative is responsible for collections and follow-up with insurance company to obtain prompt /accurate payment on accounts. Functions include numerous phone calls with insurance companies and patients, extensive investigating for timely insurance payments, always cognizant of timely filing deadlines. Follow-up on Medicare encounters via the DDE on line system and Medicaid accounts via MEDICAID ON THE WEB. Supervises no employees. Makes independent decisions as to the management of accounts. Requires extensive contact with the public and employees. Handles confidential information. Performs all work in accordance to the mission, vision and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
    Essential Functions:
    • Using assigned work lists, contacts insurance companies to confirm claim receipt, obtain payment and estimated payment date within 90 days of billed date.
    • Medicare DDE RTPs (errors) worked and resolved weekly with no encounters aged greater than 30 days.
    • Medicare DDE Return report worked weekly with no encounters aged greater than 10 days.
    • Works correspondence (except requests for Medical Records) weekly in order to obtain resolution.
    • Answer inquiries within 48 hours to maximize reimbursement timely.
    • Works denials from assigned Remittance Advices weekly & according to policy and procedure.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma; prefer some college
      Experience: Two (2) year job related experience in Health Care required. Knowledge of third party reimbursement, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance required. Experience with the Medicare on line system. Excellent Customer Service background. Good investigative skills and telephone techniques. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Proven organization skills needed.
      Working Knowledge: Must be proficient on a personal computer and have experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
      Essential Technical/Motor Skills: CRT, typewriter and 10 keys required. 40 WPM minimum
