In this role you will educate homeowners about cost effective energy measures to make the homes are more efficient and resolve any comfort issues that are present as well as gather photos and information about the home to facilitate proper design specifications of the Solar PV System.In this role you may also be required to conduct home energy efficiency assessments in residential homes; entering attics, basements, and crawlspaces (with necessary safety measures) + evaluate and perform air sealing, duct sealing, insulation installation as well as Installing water heater blankets. Perform a comprehensive site survey/analysis of the home to support the design and installation of a solar PV system + including photos, diagrams, field measurements, drones (if applicable) and general documentation associated with the solar project.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work independently to conduct energy audits and site surveys.Driving/traveling to the customer site location.Conduct site survey in a timely manner between contract signature and design phase of installation.Take quality photographs of jobsite and roofs.Measure and evaluate roofs for structural integrity.Measure for trench, survey & photograph garage, and surrounding area for battery placement, if needed.Assess energy efficiency in residential homes.Interacting with the customer.Entering attics, basements, and crawlspaces (with adequate safety protocols).Performing a comprehensive assessment/audit of the residence including gathering photos.Recommending energy saving measures.Conducting energy usage data calculations.Completing corresponding documentation and record findings electronically.Install instant savings measures such as air sealing, duct sealing and water heater blankets.Install Blown-In insulation to reach a minimum R-Value.Maintain accurate supply inventory on a weekly basis.Gain additional knowledge about the overall solar/electrical process through cross trainingREQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION & SKILLS:Professional with a customer service mindsetAbility to work well others in a collaborative team environmentExcellent communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Flexible and adaptable to changing conditions.1+ years' experience in residential construction, roofing, energy conservation, HVAC, building diagnostics, air infiltration reduction or insulation (customer-facing role) is preferred.HVAC Certificate holders welcome.Ability to navigate multiple IT applications on both iPhone and iPad.Working knowledge of Salesforce + and other cloud-based software preferred.Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clear driving record with the ability to pass a driving background checkCapable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time. Capable of entering attics, basements, and crawl spaces of varying temperature.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
